Richmond Police Department But based on the latest statistics, the increased concern is one that takes place year-round now in Rhode Island. After State Police arrested nine people on drunk driving-related charges this past Friday, The Journal's Mark Reynolds dug into the numbers and found a disturbing trend. With two months still to go in the year State Police are on the verge of setting a record for drunk driving arrests. The numbers are staggering.
