[@Will_Richmond]( Good morning, I'm Will Richmond at The Providence Journal and this is the Daily Briefing. While our thoughts have mostly turned to spring by this point there's always a little house cleaning to do as the seasons change and that's no different in The Providence Journal sports department. While our reporters welcome the opportunity to feel the sun on their faces as they travel to fields across Rhode Island they also just spent parts of the past five months cooped up in gyms and rinks watching the state's student-athletes compete. With that knowledge, we look back to the winter sports season and name The Journal's all-state teams. [Sa23 Presto Winternominees Allstaterhodeisland 2] All-States logo 2023 GANNETT The individual teams have been presented over the past week, but we've compiled them all in one spot so you can see all of the outstanding contributions made by Rhode Island's high school athletes. Additionally, along with our major sponsor, Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island, we are proud to announce the nominees for Players of Year for all the winter sorts. Winners will be announced during the live show Tuesday, June 27, at the Veterans Memorial Auditorium — part of the USA TODAY High School Sports Awards, the largest high school sports recognition program in the country.
