Lessons in running excellence from the next generation of champions. sponsored by Rejuvenate your

Lessons in running excellence from the next generation of champions. [View this email in your browser]( sponsored by Rejuvenate your running with fresh perspectives and workouts from today's high school champions I had the pleasure of coaching high school runners for the past decade and can confidently say that spending nearly every day with them has contributed as much as anything to my still being an enthusiastic runner. There's nothing quite like the perspective of youth, when everything is new and nothing is impossible. This past weekend I got the chance to hang out with more high school runners: the "fastest of the fast" who were invited to compete at the Brooks PR Invitational meet in Seattle. I was quickly impressed with the maturity, confidence, poise and intelligence of each runner I met: These kids are not only gifted athletically but high achievers in every sphere of life. I didn't want to just watch and marvel at their excellence, but see if I could learn some of their secrets. They were more than happy to share their [goals]( [perspectives]( [workouts]( and [favorites](. I came away not only impressed but also motivated—to set new goals, to try new, creative workouts, to put myself on a starting line and seize the opportunity to take my fitness for a spin against competition. I've tried to capture some of their voices along with my observations in the Well stories this week, and shared photos showing off their amazing strides, effort and emotion. I hope you catch even a bit of the enthusiasm and motivation that I did, and that it inspires your summer training and racing. — Jonathan Beverly, Editor [5 Killer Workouts for Stamina and Speed in the 5K and Mile]( The country’s top high school runners share their favorite workouts for you to try. No fiber technology can attract and repel moisture at the same time. To overcome this, Drymax Running Socks utilize two different fiber technologies interwoven together. Drymax fibers lift sweat off the skin (like a squeegee) into the moisture-attracting outer layer. This Dual Layer design helps keep feet dry and comfortable in cold, hot and even wet conditions.
