Celebrating Black History Month

As someone who has made history, I know I stand on the shoulders of many Black women who blazed the trail of justice before me. [Plaskett for Congress]( ["The world watched us. I think of Patricia Robert Harris, the first Black woman to ever serve in the United States Cabinet under President Carter. And I think of Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson, who recently rose to become the first Black woman to serve on the U.S. Supreme Court. These women have inspired me to build a career of service and keep fighting for progress, and I will continue to walk in their footsteps every day.
