My father

Here is one of my favorite pictures of me with my dad. [Plaskett for Congress]( {NAME}, Today we celebrate all the fathers and father figures who have made a positive impact in our lives, and I’ve got one of the best. My dad LeRoy was a police officer in the NYPD for 30 years, continuing the legacy of his father who was Assistant Police Commissioner on St. Croix from the 1930’s to 60s. [Stacey's father in the NYPD]( My father was not only my greatest supporter, but also my toughest critic who inspired me to pursue justice and become the woman I am today. He was a constant presence in my life as well as so many young people in the Virgin Islands and New York.
