January 6 and what patriotic duty means

Lawyers from the Department of Justice, cabinet members, and perhaps in the most revealing testimony, a young woman who dedicated her life to public service, have all done their patriotic duty by revealing how Trump and his cronies coordinated a coup attempt. Kevin McCarthy and MAGA Republicans may call themselves patriots, but we all know they are anything but that. When called upon by the committee, they refused to cooperate, continued to perpetuate the Big Lie, and fixated on what they’ve always cared about most: Power. Folks, the hearings are a reminder that we cannot let election deniers take control of the House and Senate this November. We must protect and expand our razor-thin majority and defend American democracy from Trump endorsed cronies running for Congress.
