Here’s why… On our way out the door today to drop my daughter’s lunch off at daycare- we see a huge groundhog in our yard. He’s moved on in and has been digging holes + causing a mess underneath the back of my house for years… And so, I’m seeing if I can catch him on his afternoon lunch break. My wife chimes in, “Do you think just one shot will take him out?” My response… “It’s all we’ve got.” I’ll keep you updated on if "George" (the groundhog- my daughter named him) and I throw it down and who wins… But for now, there’s a lesson here for you if you’re stuck in pain. You know... the kind of burning pain in your butt that just won’t budge no matter how much you throw at it?! Most people take the shotgun approach to pain relief… trying every exercise in the books, dowsing the area with medication/injections- only to end up being frustrated and at a loss. But… IF THE ONLY WEAPON YOU’VE GOT IS A BB GUN, YOU BETTER BE A GOOD SHOT! In my experience, the goal of treatment shouldn’t be to do more, but rather- to do less. The less you do, the more clarity you gain. Rather than guessing and trying a bunch of random things… we aim to find the ONE motion that works best for you.
