This Cruel Pig Slaughter Festival Needs to End Now The Nem Thuong Pig Slaughter Festival in Vietnam has been condemned by animal rights activists for a long time due to its heinous nature. In 2015, the Vietnamese government banned it due to that pressure. However, it turns out the festival continues on, just in a smaller fashion. This year (2019) the festival will happen on February 5 at the lunar new year if we don't stop it! During the festival, pigs are carried for miles with people feeding them cookies and water. Then, ropes are tied to each of their limbs and they are pulled in four different directions while someone takes a sword and either cuts them in half or decapitates them. It's truly a tragic and cruel activity. Please sign the petition to ask Vietnamese authorities to actually end this torturous festival! This Woman Dragged Her Tiny Dog 100 Yards Using an Electric Scooter! A horrifying account and photos have just come out. Apparently, a woman had tied her small dog to a Bird electric scooter and then dragged the dog behind her for at least 100 yards. Sign on to make sure Bakersfield police are doing everything they can to catch this animal abuser and bring her to justice. Witnesses took photos of the woman holding the tiny dog, maybe a chihuahua or something similar who she called Mama, and all four of its paws are bloodied from being dragged. When one couple saw her pulling the dog, they confronted her and told her to stop, to which they said she replied "sh*t happens, just like with kids." Yikes. This is a woman who should definitely not be allowed to care for dogs or children. Someone Stuffed 11 Kittens in Five Airtight Boxes and Left Them in an Alley to Die A woman in London recently found 11 young, flea-ridden and emaciated kittens sealed in a box that was shut with shipping tape. The box didn't have a single hole for them to get fresh air. Whoever left them there in the alley clearly didn't care if they lived or died. Luckily someone came along at the exact right time. According to the Celia Hammond Animal Trust — the organization that rescued the cats — all of the eleven cats were friendly. But no one knows why someone would suddenly want to round them up and kill them in such a disgusting manner. Please sign the petition and ask London Police to search for the persons responsible for abandoning these cats and bring them to justice. Every State In The U.S. Must Ban Exotic Animal Acts! No More Circus Cruelty! New Jersey and Hawaii just became the first states in the entire U.S. to ban the use of all exotic animals in circuses. This is big progress, but that still leaves 48 more states where the cruelty continues! We can no longer stand by as animals are tortured and exploited for human greed and entertainment. We will take this battle state-by-state and we will speak out for these defenseless animals!
