There are many possible definitions but here’s a simplified one that expresses the distinction

There are many possible definitions (with increasing specificity) but here’s a simplified one that expresses the distinction succinctly: Advanced Storytelling is being able to tell stories that intentionally transform, influence and persuade others to change. It’s the hallmark of true masters of NLP and gives one the ability to influence individuals and groups profoundly in everyday conversations. [Stories as Michael explains in today’s video have many purposes.Â]( If you’ve been around NLP for anytime, you’ve almost certainly heard of nested storytelling and nested communication. They are frequently seen as the ‘be all and end all’ of advanced storytelling. At least that’s how many NLPers talk about them. But the truth is they, are less than 1% of the magic of the body of knowledge that surrounds advanced NLP storytelling. Seriously. [Check out today’s video to discover the many purposes of stories.]( If you have ever wondered why Richard Bandler and Michael Breen tells stories that seem to have nothing to do with the topic they are teaching, you’ll definitely want to check this out. By the end, you’ll understand a little bit more about how these masters use stories to setup key structures inside someone’s mind outside of their awareness.
