But you knew that already. Did you also know that Trump knew that the Capitol was under attack within 15 minutes of leaving the stage following his rally? Yes, {NAME}, yesterday the Committee brought to light this and several other revelations about Trump's actions on January 6 (or lack thereof) and the consequences. Here are just a few of the highlights: - While Pentagon officials were feverishly trying to reach him to coordinate a response to the siege, Donald Trump instead clogged up the phone lines by calling Senators to see if they would be willing to delay the certification of the 2020 election. - Donald Trump was basically ready to sacrifice Mike Pence to the mob and Pence's security detail knew it. Radio reports show that the officers were even sending their last goodbyes to their families as the violence unfolded. - Even after those in his inner circle including Ivanka, Fox News pundits, advisors, and notable Republicans pleaded with him to call off the violence, Donald Trump refused to instruct his followers to leave the Capitol. It was only when most of the violence had died down that he released a half-assed stand-down request that praised the insurrectionists. - Even though Josh Hawley started his day egging on the insurrectionists and defending the Big Lie, he ended it by running scared from these very people. With even more witnesses set to testify about the horrific events they beheld on January 6, we know that this is only the beginning of our country discovering the entire truth. But the evidence that has already been presented is damning, and we can't let the people complicit in this attack continue serving in positions of power. Liz Cheney said it best, "We cannot abandon the truth and remain a free nation." To protect our free nation, we need to unseat the Treason Caucus in November and make sure that an event like January 6 never happens again. [Will you help us?
