Although he claims to be a proud defender of the Constitution, Mike was quick to throw all his supposed principles out the window once Trump started spreading false allegations of election fraud (AKA “The Big Lie”) in the 2020 election. Following months of Trump’s lies about voter fraud and a conspiracy to steal the election, Mike announced his plan to reject the results. He would then go on to object to the certification of the states’ electoral college votes, voting to overturn the results of a fair and democratic election based solely on the whims of a wannabe dictator. Mike and the Treason Caucus didn’t hesitate to neglect their constitutional duty and the results were disastrous. Their self-interested efforts to please their overlord led to the horrific attack on the Capitol and our democracy. And just like his “commitment” to the Constitution, Mike’s dedication to overthrowing the election vanished once it was no longer politically convenient for him – he later begrudgingly acknowledged Joe Biden’s win only after facing backlash for his actions. With a grifter like Mike in office, we can be certain that his values will always be determined by what’s most advantageous for him, not his electorate or our democracy.
