The Daily Mail has been lambasted for failing to take reasonable steps to avoid contributing to prejudice and offence throughout an article about a transgender woman.
The article about the 24-year-old woman, Evie Amati, who is accused of stabbing two people with an axe at 7-Eleven, included superfluous images, personal Facebook comments and details of her partner, accompanied by images of her sister, mother and an unidentified man, according to the Australian Press Council.

Gambling advertising has âcrossed a lineâ in recent years and betting firm representatives are being positioned as equal to sports experts, a new study by Clarity Strategic Research has suggested.
Speaking at Mumbrellaâs Sports Marketing Summit, Clarity Strategic Research directors Alasdair Johnston and Alex Sweeney told the audience the biggest bug-bear for TV sports viewers and fans was gambling advertising.

[Sports moving to Pay TV willl disappear from the view of fans and marketers, researchers warn](
Australian sports which have moved from free-to-air TV to subscription TV are disappearing from the view of fans and sponsors, eroding their ability to grow in a world where they are competing for the attention of audiences against the likes of Netflix and Stan, the audience at Mumbrellaâs Sports Marketing Summit has heard.
Alex Sweeney, director of Clarity Strategic Research, said there were already examples of sports beginning to suffer after choosing the pay TV route, saying that such a move was excluding 70% of the potential audience.
