[GetUp's Carla McGrath declines request to resign from Press Council](
After a âboycottâ by The Australian and the resignation of chairman David Weisbrot, the Australian Press Council has asked member and GetUp activist Carla McGrath to resign.
The Press Council, which completed a review of potential conflicts of interests at its quarterly meeting, concluded McGrathâs external position as deputy chair of GetUp was âincompatibleâ with her role on the Council.

The Press Council has lambasted The Sunday Telegraph for âsignificant inaccuracyâ and âunfairnessâ for an article which implied a womanâs death was caused by her young son.
On July 30 last year, a story was published in the News Corp owned masthead as âMum died from her toddlerâs sicknessâ in print, and âDead mum Imogen Petrak may have caught pneumococcal disease from her childâ online.

[AANA and Ad Standards to merge boards](
The Australian Association of National Advertisers (AANA) and Ad Standards Bureau (ASB) have announced plans to merge their boards to create one single board made up of AANA members, Ad Standards members and the wider community.
Following a joint board meeting on May 2, the two organisations resolved to elect a new board at the AANAâs annual general meeting in November aimed to deliver a more efficient ASB operation and having better governance and oversight of operations.

The grand final of Sevenâs My Kitchen Rules boosted the channelâs average weekly share to 20.6%, just beating Nineâs 19.5% in total people.
Sevenâs MKR grand final was the most watched program of the week, with 1.368m metro viewers tuning in to the show. That number swelled to 1.579m in the final moments.

Domain executive chairman Nick Falloon is to receive $4,300 a day for carrying out the listed companyâs CEO duties while the hunt to replace Antony Catalano continues.
In an announcement to the ASX this afternoon, Domain said the board had resolved to pay Falloon the daily rate based on Catalanoâs fixed salary component of $1,200,000. The figure will not include any incentive payments.

The premiere of Sevenâs new mini-series about Olivia Newton-John averaged 735,000 metro viewers on Sunday evening, achieving a larger audience than Sevenâs 7pm show, House Rules.
Olivia, which stars Delta Goodrem as Newton-John, attracted most of its audience from Melbourne â 215,000 viewers. It did not beat 60 Minutes on Nine, which pulled in 872,000 at 8:30pm.

Southern Cross Austereo (SCA) will not seek to acquire radio media rights for the cricket for another two years, it announced today.
SCAâs Triple M network first signed the deal with Cricket Australia to broadcast Test matches in 2016. Since then, Triple Mâs coverage has included a number of Test series and the Ashes, which ran in late 2017 and early 2018.
