but I’m not. ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ [MIKIE SHERRILL - U.S. CONGRESS] Last month, we asked folks about the issues on their priority lists for Congress and one of the responses we heard most often was protecting Social Security. {NAME}, we’ve heard Washington Republicans insist they won’t make cuts to Social Security, but here’s the fact of the matter: Republicans have put Social Security on the chopping block before. They’ll do it again, {NAME}. (In fact, they were threatening Social Security cuts earlier this year!) [Add your name if you believe Congress should protect Social Security. →]( For nearly 100 years, Social Security has allowed Americans to have a dignified and secure retirement after a lifetime of hard work. It’s lifted millions out of poverty, and today, over 1.6 million New Jerseyans rely on Social Security, including over 140,000 in our district. While the GOP is playing partisan games with people’s livelihoods, I’m not. I’m focused on doing what’s best for New Jerseyans, and that’s why I will always protect Social Security. [We need to show Republicans the overwhelming support for Social Security. Sign on if you believe Congress should protect this effective program for the millions of people who depend on it.]( Thank you for all you do, Mikie PAID FOR BY MIKIE SHERRILL FOR CONGRESS Mikie Sherrill was a lieutenant in the U.S. Navy.
