Do people love or hate emails? You would think they hate them right? But you’re wrong. 20.9% of people check their email more than 5 times per day. 58% of adults wake up and immediately check their email. But the thing is… How do you make one of those emails yours? What are you going to do to earn that space in their inbox? Here's where you can start: #1 Ditch the weekly newsletters Newsletters are nice but they don’t help very much with brand reinforcement. Send one subject emails to highlight 1 relevant topic or perspective. This reinforces your take on the topic and allows your audience to dive deeper into it. There’s still a place for your newsletter. But don’t send it as the only type of email every single week. Keep it as a form of communication in between your launches or at the end of the month/quarter to share what you’ve worked on or experienced. #2 Write emails that scream AUTHORITY Some emails inspire thought and change. They challenge existing beliefs and myths. These emails raise more questions than they may offer answers to. Not everyone jives with that type of content. So it targets their ideal reader and repels the rest. What it also does is build authority. And authority is more about trust than anything else. These can be challenging emails to write because it forces you to think about your message. But these can also be the most rewarding because of the engagement you get. #3 Your email strategy is built for the long game In his book Sticky Branding, Jeremy Miller states that only 3% of the market are actively looking to buy at any point in time. But he mentions that there is a huge opportunity in the lower 97% of the market. When you build a consistent relationship with people even when they’re not actively looking for your products and services, you become top of mind when they are indeed in the market to buy. So don’t actively sell or write emails for only 3% of their audience. Do it for the remaining 97% too. That’s how you'll be able to get and keep attention. --------------------------------------------------------------- If email marketing on your radar, here are some resources you can check out: 1️⃣ Just starting out with email marketing and not sure where exactly to begin? Put in place an email strategy with [300 Email Marketing Tips](. A perfect taste-test to my signature course on email marketing, this cut-to-the-chase easy read is jam packed with advice for everyone who needs a helping hand when it comes to email marketing. 2️⃣ Not sure what to write and how you can create emails that boost authority and nurture your readers? The [Authority Email Template Pack]( gives you access to email templates from 13 proven categories, tried-and-tested subject lines and email transitions! 3️⃣ Can’t seem to make emails work for you and get those sales? The [Profitable Email System](=), my signature email course, will help you ditch that email fear and get you started on making those sales with just emails.
