Is it getting harder to grow your email list? Heck, yes! The cost of advertising continues to increase. There is more competition than ever before. And people are done with all the big promises. Doing business online is NOT like it was even a few years ago. It you're in the Startup or early Growth phases, visibility and authority continue to be important. Every coaching call I hop on...In my books and trainings... I've always mentioned the importance of getting visible and building authority. It's not something you do after your business has grown. It's not a frivolous use of your time. It's not a luxury. It certainly doesn't happen by chance (though it has a sneaky way of looking like it.) It's a necessity. It's been so pivotal to my growth that I based my book '[But I'm not an Expert!](=) entirely on this. You can take intentional steps to build authority and get visible. One way is through authority building campaigns. Another is by getting on someone else's platform like a podcast. You build authority by sharing your perspectives, frameworks, your story. There’s also authority by association. You get those juicy ‘as seen in’ logos to build credibility. You get people finding you and getting on your email list waaayyy after your recording goes live, just like this email I received. If you target the right shows, you get in front of an audience that overlaps with your ideal audience. Podcasts bring you directly into a conversation with your listener. You'll find that the more you do it, the bigger a snow ball effect it creates. People hear you and invite you on their own shows. Listeners refer their friends to listen and so on. I’d love for more of you to put yourselves out there and guest on podcasts. But then comes the big question: How do you pitch? Here's a pitch from a potential guest that I received. Let's call her Jane Doe (real name concealed for privacy). Hi, my name is Jane Doe and I came across your site and notice you have a lot of refreshing blog posts. Great job! I wanted to reach out to see if you'd be interested in publishing a guest post. I've written articles similar to ones that are published on your site. I can send some over for you to review, if you're interested. Let me know. Thanks! There are so many things that are wrong with this pitch that I don't even know where to start. But this isn't even the worst I've received. That’s why I invited my podcast publicist Christina from 'PublicityxChristina' to do a [short training for you.]( I very rarely invite guests and Christina is someone I’ve worked with for more than a year now and she brings authenticity to the entire pitching process. She’ll be talking about getting started with podcasting, pitch 'Dos and Donts' and some resources to get started. I'll also be sharing my experiences and fails from podcasts I did. ¢Â€Â‹ If being a guest on podcasts is on your radar for 2022 - and I hope it is! - I hope you'll join me on this training! WHEN 13 December, 7PM EST [You can click here to sign-up with 1-click]( If you can't make the training, a replay link will be sent out to those who register. Talk soon, Meera P.S I'd love to see more of you guesting on podcasts and not pass up on the opportunity to get in front of your audience. [Sign-up here with one-click](for the Podcast Pitching 101 training P.P.S In my next email, I'll share lessons learnt from guesting on 30+ podcasts [Unsubscribe]( | [Update your profile]( | 20 AMK Ave 2, SG, SG 567701
