Reproductive rights, gun reform and the safety of our kids, whether America remains a democracy or a country where extremists win and cling to power by violence — that’s what’s on the ballot this fall. I am competing in one of the few House districts left that could swing either way this November, and the GOP is heavily targeting my seat. My opponent, Tom Kean Jr., has consistently chosen to side with the most extreme pro-Trump wing of the GOP in his fourth, desperate effort to get into Congress. He is hiding behind his father’s name while betraying his family’s legacy of moderation, refusing to answer even the most basic questions on the hard issues facing New Jersey families. In fact, during his 20 years as a state senator in Trenton, he didn’t host a single town hall public meeting to talk to New Jerseyans, and the only reporters he’ll talk to are from Fox News. With that track record, it’s no surprise that Kean Jr. has refused to condemn the January 6 insurrection — or to refute Trump’s Big Lie and nonsense claims that the election was stolen. {NAME}, I’m here to tell Kean Jr. that New Jersey voters don’t respect politicians who hide from them and run from responsibility. But we’ve got just a few months left to defeat his cowardly campaign and ensure NJ families continue to have the principled leadership they deserve.
