A pearl of wisdom I picked up about how Hobby Lobby—which did almost $8 Billion in 2023—operates. (From Leadership NOT By the Book , written by its founder, David Green): --------------------------------------------------------------- When we first started opening new stores, we assembled a list of everything that the process requires…Tens of thousands of elements…Everything is down to a science. As a result, nobody opens a store faster than we do…it takes about two weeks. Our competitors don’t come close. For the most part…we aim to build every store the same, over and over. Keep it simple. Know when to be creative and when to stick with what you have. We have a comprehensive map that shows everywhere we are and everywhere we’d like to be. In time, we’d like to grow to about fourteen hundred locations. And we’ll build each new store in exactly the same way. --------------------------------------------------------------- Lots to unpack here: First, there’s a very clear and straightforward path to growth. For Hobby Lobby, it’s building new stores. And there’s an even simpler equivalent when it comes to growing your service or training business. In the case of SEO/blogging—which in my opinion is the best lead generation option available right now and the cornerstone of my personal strategy—the path to growth is just as straightforward: Create blog articles. Second, there’s a clearly defined process that makes everything easy and fast. While what they carry in each store might differ slightly based on region, the store layout and details don’t change. Similarly, we’ve got a very clearly defined SEO/blog process that we developed specifically for service/training businesses: How to structure the blog, how long to make each section, how many sections to have, and what to include. And lastly, there’s a part Green mentions elsewhere in the book that I couldn’t find, but paraphrasing: He has the promotional strategy for each store down to a science too. What he promotes, how, when, and even how much and how often he discounts. Again, with SEO/blogging, there’s also a science for how to promote your content to make sure you grow faster. Like what to do, how often to do it, and exactly how to do it too. I think this sentence sums it up best: “Keep it simple. Know when to be creative and when to stick with what you have.” In my hard-earned opinion after a decade of testing different strategies, online lead generation is one of the areas where you can keep it simple and use what’s been proven to work. Although the being creative part will make a difference in how good you’re able to make each of your blogs and how much you get out of each specific growth tactic. So if you’d like to simplify your lead generation while also growing faster, here’s what I’ve got for you… You can learn more about the strategy right here: [Watch a free masterclass explaining the strategy]( . Or if you already know you want to add this to your business: [Enroll in Clients Come to Me]( to get the full system with step-by-steps, templates, guides, and Q&A support. Or if you want us to do it FOR you: [Hire my team]( to do it all for you so you don’t have to worry about a thing. (Your business does need to be at 6-figures or more in annual revenue for this option to be a good fit.)

The Flesch readability score uses the average length of your sentences (measured by the number of words) and the average number of syllables per word in an equation to calculate the reading ease. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables. Usually, a reading ease score of 60-70 is considered acceptable/normal for web copy.
