These days, here’s how I like to do “goal setting”: Step 1: Choose the goals -- no matter how small or big -- that truly feel good to you. Step 2: Have faith in them. Step 3: Don't give up. Step 4: Do the work. This seemingly simple formula has helped me repeatedly achieve completely “unrealistic” goals, like... ...Make 6-figures in 4 months before I left my 9-5 ...Cross 7-figures in my first year ...Build a multiple 7-figure business that continues to grow every year ...Connect with dream clients who work with me for years or buy all my courses, because they’re also growing in the same way It's also helped me appreciate the times when I wasn't pushing for that next big goal. Like the year I decided to maintain my revenue…but doubled my profit. Or the year I decided not to do a big live launch...and instead replaced that revenue in other, more scalable and sustainable ways Or the time I took a year "off" to focus on updating my courses so they’d be the best possible. After all, that's the beauty of building your own Freedom Business. You get to set your own goals. No matter how big or how small. How “fast” or how "slow." And best of all? You get to be in control of whether or not you hit them. Seriously, if you didn’t hit your goals, there’s always a reason: Did you really set goals that were true to YOU, or did you just set a goal because you wanted to prove something or beat so-and-so? Did you really hold your faith in them, or did you give up part way through? Did you really give it your all to hit them? Here’s what all this ultimately means: You get to create exactly the business and life you want. It starts with dropping "realistic" from your vocabulary. No big, life-changing goal is “realistic” until you’ve hit it anyways. So today, I hope you’ll take a second and let yourself dream about what you really want to create. Without the burden of having to be “realistic” or doing things just because you think you should.
