Recently I was talking to a software founder who sold his last company for 8-figures. I knew he was my kinda person when he said, super matter of factly… “It’s so rare that anyone succeeds on the first version [of a software product]. You just gotta give it your best and be prepared to iterate.” We were talking specifically about a software product I’m launching next year. But that’s how I think about any new product (including a new coaching offer, training, or course). Early in my entrepreneurial journey, a wise mentor told me, and I’m paraphrasing — “No one owes you a d*** thing. You get up and earn it every single day.” It’s not that I plan or expect to fail…most days. But I also definitely don’t ever expect to succeed either. In fact, I’ve thought the same thing about every product I’ve ever sold, including my first online coach-sulting product. Literally: It’d be awesome if this succeeded right away. How cool would it be if it did?! But if it doesn’t, that’s just part of the process. It sucks, but I’ll do the work and figure it out. If you take this as advice from your business “big sister” and make this (or some version of it) your default thinking too — Basically, “aim for success but plan for failure”? That’s how I truly believe ANYONE can build their dream business. Because you don’t give up. And as long as you don’t give up, you’ll just keep iterating and improving until you get it. BUT, and this is a big but… This is also why I’m a fan of doing things using certain smart practices. (Not to be confused for having to build your business in a specific way. Within these practices, you get to customize your business however you want.) Like setting yourself up so you’re more likely to succeed…even IF you fail. As I’ve said from the beginning, Audience growth is the lifeblood of your business. If you have a growing audience, getting your product right “even a little”...even if you’re failing in most areas…can have huge pay-offs. Which can sustain your hope — and cash — until you dial things in. And after you dial things in? That growing audience is how you continue to grow, and systematize, all while enjoying your business more. As long as you’re growing your audience with the RIGHT people. Because one of the biggest fears I had to overcome in the early days of LZ.com: “What if there aren’t enough ideal clients out there for me?” My friend, borrow my faith for now if you need it. After having run my own 7-figure business for close to a decade now — helping thousands of customers, and hundreds of thousands of people through my free content… Not to mention after having seen just how many countless numbers of ideal clients are out there for every type of coaching/course/consulting business you can imagine… There are SO MANY self-led, action-taking, respectful, commitment-honoring ideal clients for you too. You just have to have a way to bring them to you. A way that minimizes your risk. That grows with every drop of blood, sweat, and tears you put into it. And that brings you some of the best, highest-quality clients you can find on the internet. If you’re ready to “do the work,” and you just need some guidance on what to do and how to do it, here’s how I can help you… You can learn the exact system I used to go from zero to multiple six-figures within two years using just this strategy alone — with the most peace of mind and highest profit margins of any traffic source I’ve ever used — right here: [Watch a free masterclass explaining the system]( . Or if you already know you want this for your business: [Enroll in Clients Come to Me]( to get the full system with step-by-steps, templates, guides, and Q&A support. Or if you want us to do it FOR you: [Hire my team]( to do it all for you so you can focus on doing what you love. (Your business does need to be at 6-figures or more in annual revenue for this option to be a good fit.) Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables.
