“A monkey can generate revenue. What I care about is profit.” —The CEO of a $50 million/year company, during a private mastermind. It’s true that growing profit is a lot harder—and more important—than growing revenue. But if I had my druthers, I’d prioritize something else entirely: “Anyone can trade their time for money. What I care about is earnings per hour worked.”—Luisa Zhou, via email…right now. In fact, I’ll go head to head against anyone who owns a business making 5x-10x what mine makes. Chances are, my revenue per hour worked is still higher. If you too are interested in having that mythical “work-life” balance — or at least working less while making more — here are a few principles I’ved used to build a business that makes the most of every minute you put into it… 1) 90%+ of the work I do has to grow the business not just in the now, but for the future too…so that it keeps working for me long after I’ve technically put in the time 2) No more than 4 hours of concentrated work a day. Often, much less. 3) Never repeat or redo anything I don’t have to…because I’ve trained myself to be able to do the thing well in one go. While knowing how to identify the best time and the best way to do it 4) Even if I only have a few minutes, I’ll know exactly what to do to make the most of that time. Because my business priorities are always clear. (This skill comes in especially handy when you’re building your side-hustle while working a busy job.) 5) Be able to sit and get what I need to done—whether that’s record a video, write an email, or respond to a client—at almost any moment, without preparation or needing to get “ready” 6) Minimal wasted time or effort. (A little is inevitable, but that little bit is a lot less than what most business owners operate on.) 7) Every strategy I choose will “work” for me. Not because I never fail (I do, often), but because I’ve learned how to pick the right strategies that will work best for me. And the right timing for when to implement them. Just a peek into the art and the science of getting business DONE. It’s part time management, part business, part productivity, part personal boundaries, and 100% results-focused. A uniquely LZ blend. And if you want to learn it for yourself so you can get more done and grow your business faster while working less, you can get it right here: [luisazhou.com/done]( Luisa Zhou If you no longer wish to receive these emails, click here to [unsubscribe]( Zhou Ventures, Inc. 54 State Street, Ste 804 #5511 Albany, NY 12207

The Flesch readability score uses the average length of your sentences (measured by the number of words) and the average number of syllables per word in an equation to calculate the reading ease. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables.
