A story I first learned from Stephen : In 1900, André Michelin - who co-founded the tire company

A story I first learned from Stephen (who heard it on TikTok): In 1900, André Michelin - who co-founded the tire company with his brother Édouard - wanted to sell more of their tires. But this is where it gets interesting, because they didn’t go for the obvious marketing and sales strategies. Instead, they decided to find a way to encourage car owners to drive more—so the tires would get worn out and they could sell more tires. But at the time, vehicles were a lot less reliable and the possibility of getting a flat tire deterred people from taking longer or more frequent trips. So they came up with a brilliantly simple solution: Offer drivers a free list of garages so they’d always be able to find a nearby garage. But that’s wasn’t the end of it either: Through publishing their garage guide, they realized that drivers get hungry while waiting for their cars to be fixed. Hmmm… Why not recommend a restaurant near each garage as well? In fact, why not rank the restaurants too so drivers can choose based on their preferences? And thus the “Michelin stars” ranking system was born. It’s not a coincidence that Michelin is still one of largest tire companies in the world today. Because they followed one of the smartest rules of marketing… The easiest way to compete, and win, is NOT trying to compete - by doing something completely different from what your competitors are doing. Which applies extra if you’re newer or less-known in your industry and have to compete against much more established brands. Take Apple for example… Can you imagine competing against their resources and brand reputation? Heck, they could outrank everyone else on search without needing to do much - just because they’re so well-known and have invested so much in growing their brand recognition! But when you’re a small business without billions (or is it trillions now) in the war chest, you need a different strategy than trying to compete head on. So you don’t have to compete against bigger competitors - and their resources That’s exactly what I did to build my search traffic from zero to multiple six-figures in less than two years, despite being in a VERY competitive niche where my competitors have budgets 100x or more the size of mine. Plus, doing it the way I did was also a lot more sustainable because I only had to publish one to two blog posts a month—because when you have the right strategy and know what to do, it’s about doing less of the RIGHT things, not having to do more. And it also grew my own visibility and credibility in the process too, simply as a natural result of the strategy I used. If you want this strategy for yourself, we teach it in my flagship Clients Come to Me course—so you can get started growing your traffic right now. No matter how competitive your industry is or how big your competitors are. You can learn more about the it right here: [Watch a free masterclass explaining the strategy]( . Or if you already know you want to grow your business this way: [Enroll in Clients Come to Me]( to get the full system with step-by-steps, templates, guides, and Q&A support. Or if you want us to do it FOR you: [Hire my team]( to do it all for you so you can focus on doing what you love. (Your business does need to be at 6-figures or more in annual revenue for this option to be a good fit.)
