Whenever I create a new course, I still feel some of these imposter syndrome thoughts! Can you guess how many courses Iâve created over the past nine or so years? Take a secondâ¦

â¦â¦
â¦â¦..
Got your guess?
â¦â¦
â¦.
. OK⦠Nineteen courses! (Did you guess right? If youâd asked me ten years ago how many courses Iâd have by now, I might have saidâ¦One? Two?) And thatâs not even counting the various mini-courses, live trainings, bonus masterclasses, and one-time bootcamps that would more than double that number. I was curious because Iâve just started creating my twentieth course... Which feels crazy to say out loud! Especially considering that it took me four years to create and fine tune my first course. So I think itâs safe to say Iâve gotten a good deal better at creating and teaching over the years. :) But the timing of me creating a new course plus opening enrollment for my Ultimate Course Launch flagship program tomorrow feels perfect to share a few thoughts you might find helpful if youâve been wanting to create and sell your own courses⦠Thought #1: Imposter syndrome is no joke Even after nineteen courses and thousands of paying students, I still found myself wondering as I wrapped up a lesson yesterday for the new course... âIs this really good enough?â
âAre people really going to find this super valuable?â By the way⦠I wonder this at the start of almost every new course! But these days when I do, I now know to remind myself of a few things⦠(These are my top go-toâs for quieting that imposter syndrome, and youâre welcome to adapt them for yourself!) >> Iâm creating this course from my experience mastering the thing Iâm teaching. And thatâs enough. >> The amount of thought and care Iâm putting into this course, just like every course Iâve ever created, and how much my students will feel and appreciate it >> Why I feel people need this course, and the gap I know itâll fill Thought #2: You get to sell whatever you want, and make the money you want, just because you want to Honestly, as lesson #6 took me about 3x the time I thought it would take, I found myself wondering⦠âWhy am I doing this again?â I donât âneedâ to create more courses. And there are plenty of new TV shows Iâd like to watch. But the answer, as it always is, is simply⦠Because I want to. Because I know itâs needed. Because itâs my gift to share it with the world. You donât need any more reason than that to create the things you want, to share them, and yes, to make the money you want from them too. Thought #3: Courses and group programs are amazing for growing your bank account...AND your legacy As I was scrolling through the updates on my Instagram feed (to put off working on my course lol), I realized how many of them are from people whoâve purchased one or more of my courses or group programs. And then shared with me how much that investment impacted their life. These are changes that they and their families will benefit from...forever. Since youâre here in LZ Land, hereâs what I know about you too: Yes, you care about making the money you want. And also, yes, you care about what youâre putting out into the world. The change that youâre driving. And the legacy that youâre creating. So hereâs a fun question for you to think about⦠When your kids Google you in the future, what will they find? Will they be Googling you from the gorgeous home your course sales helped you buy? And will you be proud of what they find in the search results? Like the content youâve put out, the teachings youâve shared, and the testimonials of lives YOUâve changed from the courses youâve sold? If youâve been thinking about creating a course or group program, hope this email has helped inspire and motivate you. If youâre in the middle of creating a course, Iâm right there with you. Youâre doing great work. ;) And if you already have a course or two out there, your message is needed and youâre so appreciated.
