The first time I was quoted in Bloomberg, my advice initially [seemed to go against everything I stand]() for in this business. To give you an idea, the article was titled, Forget a Lifetime Commitment. Plan to Quit Your Startup After Five Years. But once you get my actual advice, you’d probably have a “Ooooh that does make sense” moment. Because to quote myself: “Make [your business] run without you.” AKA: “Build [your business] as if you’re going to exit, with systems in place and as much automation as possible, so you’re not the person who does everything.” NOT because I’m planning on exiting my business. (In fact, I plan on teaching and doing my businesses for a very long time to come! *knock on wood*) But because that’s the mentality you have to have from day one. Especially if you want a profitable, sustainable business that doesn’t overwhelm you or burn you out. Because maybe you want more time to travel, live your life, or be with your family. Or, maybe there’s just so much more you also want to do. For example, here’s a fun little behind-the-scenes peek into all the things I’m working on right now… I’m on fire creating a new course I just got the idea for and know is going to help so many people boost their business profitability. (I’ll be releasing it next month…and I think you’ll be excited for it too!) Upleveling my free content on all channels. And growing with my team in the process. A new business we’ll be launching later this year…more on that to come! And super importantly, I CAN do all this because I know… ...This business will continue to run like clockwork. ...All the awesome content I’m preparing for you will continue to get published on all the platforms. ...Sales will continue to grow naturally as we reach and help more people. ...And anyone needing customer support will get what they need. That’s because that’s what a business should look like. Anything less is just a job. No matter how much (or how little) money you make. I’m being real with you as always, because there’s so much gimmicky flashiness floating around… Like about how much people make while working as little as possible. That doesn’t interest me at all. What I care about—and teach—is… Creating high-quality products that are transformative and unique. Sharing content I feel inspired to share. And doing it while creating my best life and business(es). Which brings us back to you. Because while this is how I walk that talk, what it means for YOU, is… You can create an amazingly flexible schedule. And build a massively profitable business (or few). And create massive and lasting impact. And be in integrity. And live your life the way you want. And there doesn’t need to be any guilt or compromise. Trust that what you want is doable—and that in fact, it’s a very solvable problem. You’ve just gotta give it the time, work, and commitment it takes. This week, we’ll be talking about a key business piece I’ve used to build this model in my business. And of course, how you can add it to your own business too. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables.
