I don’t always answer a question with a question, but when I do, I create a big breakthrough. O

I don’t always answer a question with a question, but when I do, I create a big breakthrough. Or at least what I assume is the most interesting catchphrase… Given that it belongs to the “most interesting man in the world” (AKA the Dos Equis guy): [image] Back when I personally answered ETE’er questions (these days the amazing LZ Support Squad has it fully covered), Michael B. - a relationship coach - asked in the student community: “I’m on the podcast strategy and I’m trying to figure out which type of podcast should I pitch. I was told marriage and relationship podcasts would be good but I don’t feel I agree with that. Do you guys have any suggestions?” I responded via a coaching question of my own: “Why do you feel like marriage and relationship podcasts wouldn’t be a good fit? Based on what you shared, it sounds like that would be a great place to start.” Lo’ and behold, this helped him realize: “I was just unsure of myself. I guess I was looking for confirmation that this was the right direction. Thank you Luisa Zhou” AHA’s like this are my favorite part of coaching/teaching. Because not to get too cheesy, but it’s the truth: The best strategies and tactics in the world won’t help you start and build your own business if you don’t believe in yourself first. It reminds me of the first time I crossed 6-figures with my salary: No one in my family had ever done it before. And in fact, my parents told me I’d be lucky if I EVER made 6-figures in a year. They were right too… I wasn’t great at promoting myself or super savvy at negotiating. I had no clue how I’d do it. And I definitely didn’t have a mentor looking out for me. But I believed in myself. And it was that belief - which was the motivation behind a lot of hard work - that ultimately DID have me getting my first six-figure salary. Same thing with hitting 6-, then 7-figures in my business. And I’ve seen it over and over with thousands of clients over the years too. ⁣ That’s why I so strongly believe that we get to control the results we get. And it starts with deciding to believe in yourself and your goals. When’s a time where you’ve experienced this for yourself? Maybe you were the first in your family to go to college or to make six-figures too. Or maybe you were the first one to break the mold in your family of having a certain body “type.” Or maybe it was something else completely. But I bet there has definitely been something that you’ve believed in (maybe even without reason or cause to). And because you believed, you got it. Business might feel different because most of us didn’t have entrepreneurial friends and family to normalize it for us. But… It’s really not. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables.
