An Employee to Entrepreneur student recently shared in our ETE’er forum: “I’m cheating slightly because I went ahead and started running some FB ads early, but THEY’RE WORKING which is amazing! I’m just aiming for email subscribers right now and I’m getting them rapidly at a cost-per-sign-up of about $1.50, which is fantastic. [LZ Note: This really is a fantastically low cost.] I’d tried a lead magnet with landing page and ads before and got zilch. Following the ETE step-by-step process is working great, and I’m excited!” I don’t recommend skipping ahead to running paid ads, but there’s an important takeaway from this student’s success: Even though having a good sequence of steps can streamline your growth journey a lot, it’s not the steps that make the biggest difference. And while having the right strategies can absolutely make a difference, again…it’s not THE thing that determines your success. So what is THE thing? It’s understanding the principles behind the strategies and steps. Like… Why is this step important? What does it take to do this step well? (Vs. just doing it to have it done) What does it look like when this is done well? How can I apply this best to my business? If it’s not “working” for me…why would that be? *Hold up before you keep on reading.* Make sure you really take that list in! Because asking those questions - and understanding the answers - is what ultimately separates successful entrepreneurs from the rest. That’s why this ETE’er was able skip a few steps in the process and still get great results. And why I always explain not just the strategies and the tactics, but the WHY behind them. Flesch reading score

Flesch reading score measures how complex a text is. The lower the score, the more difficult the text is to read. The Flesch readability score uses the average length of your sentences (measured by the number of words) and the average number of syllables per word in an equation to calculate the reading ease. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables. Usually, a reading ease score of 60-70 is considered acceptable/normal for web copy.
