To having big goals - and hitting them, Luisa Zhou Presenting: That time I rode a bike for 16 miles. On accident. The location: Bermuda The reason: Rum cake (Why else?) Annnd SCENE:________________________________________________________________ Luisa rides down the street on a moped, wobbling. Cars pass by and drivers honk and/or laugh at her. At the end of the street, she flails her legs as the moped falls over. In slow motion. Moped Rental Agent [Doubled over laughing as he runs to catch up]: “No, I can’t let you have a moped.” [Chuckles some more as he wipes tears of laughter away from his eyes]. ________________________________________________________________ And that’s how I got stuck with a bicycle. Next comes my mission for the day: Getting some of that famous Bermuda rum cake. It’s located at the very end of the island, pretty far from where I’m staying. But luckily, there’s a ferry I can take to get over there, so that’s what I do. 30 minutes later, rum cake in hand, I have a brilliant idea... Maybe I should bike back. What an adventure! Plus, it’s a beautiful day. With that, off I go - except I forgot to take two things into account… First, it’s a 16 mile ride. Second, there are a lot of hills. Unfortunately, by the time I realize just how big of a mistake I’ve made, I’ve already passed all the remaining ferry stops. So I grit my teeth and peddle up each hill, each one seemingly bigger and harder than the last. My legs are burning and I can’t feel my butt anymore. But now, it’s a matter of pride…No, of honor! In fact, if I give up now just because it’s hard, I might never respect myself again. Whew, so the stakes are high. But thankfully…many, many hours later, I’m through my nightmare! My self-respect intact, and only a few gallons of sweat the worse for wear. Here’s how I made it through the hardest (physical) thing I’ve ever had to do… …Enjoying the ride and the beautiful scenery (at least as much as I can while huffing and puffing) so that I’m appreciating the journey itself …Reminding myself I get an epic reward - with a too-many-calories- to-count dinner and of course, some delicious rum cake - at the end …Knowing I have a set destination and am getting closer and closer to it with each pedal (although I don’t know exactly how far because service isn’t great…which actually helped because I couldn’t obsess about “how much longer” I had left!) ...Plus, the thrill of pedaling up a hill to earn that downhill “fly”...the wind in your face, and not having to do a thing to keep the momentum going...is pretty addictive. Of course there’s a business equivalent for all this too: >> Have a set goal that you know you’re getting closer to every day. >> Choose a way to get your business there that you can actually enjoy. >> Even better - a way where you can see your tangible progress with each action you take. >> Plus, have your work compound for exponential growth over time. Very different from the spray-and-pray approach most marketing strategies employ. But that’s also why I’m a huge fan of the system that does all this - and have been personally using it as the bedrock of my own growth strategy for years. To see what I’m talking about, you can choose from these steps - either sequentially or skipping ahead to whichever option feels best for you. (If only I could have done that in Bermuda!) Step #1: [Watch a free masterclass explaining the strategy](). Step #2: [Enroll in Clients Come to Me](=) to get the full system with step-by-steps, templates, guides, and Q&A support. Step #3: [Hire my team](=) to do it all for you so you can focus on doing what you love. (For this step, your business does need to be at 6-figure or more in annual revenue.)
