It was so much fun writing this email last year, that I’m doing it again this year! Hope you enjoy! :) {NAME}, I’m pretty sure I know what Santa’s getting me this year. If it’s what I asked for, my gifts will include… …Finally, a good make-up brush cleaning kit. …Chocolates. …And socks. (Can’t get enough of them.) Maybe I’m getting a little too practical with my Christmas asks. But I couldn’t help it. Even though this is my favorite time of year, this year, I just wasn’t feeling the holiday spirit as much. Maybe it’s because of everything going on in the world right now. Scratch that…that’s definitely a huge part of it. But you know what? Santa needs to take some responsibility too. Especially with everything going on right now, I think we could all use a little more holiday love, magic, and spirit. So, Santa, if you’re reading this, here’s what I would advise if I were your coach… First, we need new content! I’ve lost count of how many times over the last few weeks I’ve heard people saying that they’d love some new holiday music albums or more holiday movies. Even Hallmark’s selection seems thinner this year! (I could only find two or three Christmas Prince-like movies.) I’d reach out to Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon to create unique Christmas movies for next year. With each competing for market share right now, and the holidays being such a good opportunity, I bet you could get them to really up their game with these. (And think of all the possible spin-offs and events that could follow!) I’d also choose one or two of the current hottest artists…like maybe BTS *cough*...and start collaborating on a brand-new Christmas album for this generation. Second, we need more YOU! The days of being a stand-offish celebrity who rests on his reputation are gone…no matter how big of a deal you are. What are you really like? How do you spend your day-to-day? Do you have a favorite reindeer? Is Mrs. Claus really that good at baking cookies? We’d love to know! Also—maybe some live streams to show us the behind-the-scenes or some demos to get us excited about new toys or technologies you’re whipping up. Or, if you really wanted to go for it—I bet it’d be super easy for you to go viral with reels/TikToks of your elves and super-cute reindeer. (I mean, you have so many advantages no one else has…come on, use them a little!) And last but not least, how about expanding your brand beyond just *your* face and name? You could highlight one or two of your top elves. Introduce the leader of your next generation of reindeer. And choose a few representatives from the human world as Christmas ambassadors. This way, you’ll amplify your reach, have these representatives helping you out so you don’t have to personally do it all anymore (and so you can take more breaks too—I’m sure Mrs. Claus would appreciate that!), and maybe set the stage for a hand-off if you do ever decide to retire or take a step back. Just a few thoughts off the top of my head…I’d be happy to brainstorm further if you’d like! ;) …… Haha, writing this quick note to you before I start my day… And I have to say, this really put me in the holiday spirit! I’ll be spending the rest of today listening to Christmas classics, eating yummy food, drinking good drinks, and playing board games with Stephen, Ellen, and Falco (well, Falco, will contribute by trying to lick everything). I had a lot of fun whipping this up, and hope it brought a smile to your face too (whether or not you celebrate Christmas)!
