{NAME}, If you hang out with me on [Instagram](, you know I spent the past week in Miami. Last night, back in NYC, Stephen and I played tourists at SUMMIT: [image] I think ~95 stories above ground? And so begins my favorite time of the year. If you've been in my world for a while, you know that around Nov-Dec, I personally slow down... I travel a lot more, spend a lot of time watching Christmas movies (especially the bad ones!), and take lots of time to play board + card games with anyone I can rope into playing with me. That doesn't mean my business slows down though. (And because this always comes up: No, Q4 does not have to be a "slow" quarter in your business. It's always been just as profitable for me as every other quarter. So get that out of your head!) I talk a lot about building a Freedom Business that’s massively abundant and profitable—not just financially, but also personally. Since being able to take time off and do what you want is a huge piece of that, let me share a few of the ways I'm able to do this without it affecting my business... >> Pre-planning. Nowadays, I plan out almost the entire year in advance, in terms of our content + promotion schedule. I leave space for spontaneous ideas, but having the structure makes it a lot easier. I don't batch most of my content as I prefer to create it in the moment (more on this in a second), but I batch a bit more around this time of year. >> Having a tight schedule. I do this throughout the year, but appreciate it most during the holidays. People often ask me who they should contact to schedule a call with me. Often they're surprised by my answer: "No one touches my calendar but me." My time is my most precious asset and aside from coaching + the occasional team call + important business calls, I avoid calls like the plague. (Personal calls are of course a different matter.) Being very clear on that boundary and living it throughout the year makes it super easy during the holidays to plan around. (Full disclosure though: It took me a few years to get to this point.) >> Continually practicing fast content creation. Something else I talk about a lot - if you want a successful online business these days, you have to have good and plentiful content. The best funnels in the world can't replace that. And while it can be outsourced to a certain degree, here’s what I believe: If your business is one of personal expression and fulfillment (as so many coaching/course businesses are), nobody will be able to create your best, most impactful content but you. Which means you have to learn how to flow with your content and create it quickly. You'll see as I travel that I share whatever comes up in the moment, and am able to create the content quickly and share it in a way that's not only fun for me to create, but also fun + high-value for you. And because I've practiced this intentionally for years, I'm able to do it in just a few minutes. All this on top of having built great systems and an amazing team over the years. In short, just in case you needed to hear this today: Yes, you can work hard, and build an amazing business. AND... You can also have lots of space and time in your life for the other things you care about too. (That's kind of the point anyways!)
