{NAME}, Let me share one of my favorite TV stories: It’s a scene from The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, where an upper-class housewife becomes a stand-up comedienne after her husband leaves her for his secretary. After a lot of heartbreak, practice, and failures, she finally “makes” it. When a famous musician asks Midge (that’s her name) to be the opening act for his world tour. Of course she says yes, as this is her BIG break after all. But guess what she does next? On the verge of getting everything she’s been dreaming of, she defaults back to what’s “comfortable.” Which in this case, is spending the night with her ex-husband. The same guy who cheated on her, took her for granted, and expected her to always put his needs above her own. And even worse? In doing so, she also betrays her new fiancé, a funny, handsome surgeon who adores her and supports her dreams. All you could hear during that scene was me screaming: “NOOO!!!!!! Don’t do it!” I couldn’t keep watching after that; it hit a little too close to home for me. Because I’m all too familiar with the regret that comes from choosing what’s “comfortable” over my dreams. In fact, that feeling was my constant companion for over three years as I told myself day after day that TODAY would be the day I finally got serious about building my business… Only to put it off until “tomorrow” because even though I wasn’t completely happy, I was comfortable. My job paid the bills, and it was good enough. The truth is though, my 9-to-5 was like Midge’s ex-husband: It doesn’t appreciate you, takes you for granted, and always puts you second. And yet, despite all that, for three years I let what was “comfortable” cost me my dreams. Looking back, you want to know why I felt that regret so deeply? Because all that time wasted didn’t have to be. At any point, I could have chosen to take action towards my dreams instead. If that’s a choice you’ve been grappling with as you’re thinking about investing in the Business Breakthrough Bundle, here’s my sincere hope for you: That you won’t choose the comfortable just because it’s comfortable. Because once you choose your dream, guess what happens with each choice, each action step, and every minute spent pursuing that dream? It all adds up. It becomes a little less scary each day. And the dreams that once felt so far off, impossible, and scary? Start feeling inevitable with each new crossed-off to-do, comment, subscriber, and paying client. If you’re ready to make that initially scary but ultimately rewarding choice for your business, I’d love to welcome you into the Business Breakthrough Bundle.
