Have a great 4th of July! [Lisa Blunt Rochester for Congress](/pmWVIAzgOQCvsbf4QZvJGOH1VqqW3L33wZ4riQqYlRI=?refcode=em_c_210704fourth_c_LBR_9_ng_na_logo&refcode2=header) Happy 4th of July, {NAME}! Today, as we celebrate our freedom, I cannot help but reminisce on the promise of our great democratic experiment. You see, our fight for freedom is more than just a historical event. It is something that we’re still working on today -- because the promise of America is not reserved for only a select few. As long as there are children going hungry, families struggling to access affordable health care, and parents working three jobs to stay afloat, we aren’t completely free. And as Americans, we are called to ensure our neighbors can enjoy the same independence as we do. That’s what I’m working toward in Congress. America has always been a place where people can dream and achieve big things. For generations, we have put our ideas to work and created an even better America for future generations. Together, Americans ended segregation, put a man on the moon, and built the greatest country the world has ever seen. Our nation has come a long way since its founding, and today, we’re on the road to recovery from one of the worst crises we’ve faced. As we rebuild, it’s crucial that we do so in a manner that ensures everybody has a fair shot at success. That means passing equitable laws like the American Jobs Plan and the American Rescue Plan to get us back on track. As President Biden often says, there's nothing we can't do if we do it together. Wishing you and your family an enjoyable and safe 4th of July! Congresswoman Lisa Blunt Rochester Congresswoman Lisa Blunt Rochester is a Democrat representing the First State, Delaware. She served as the National Co-Chair of the Biden-Harris campaign and Co-Chair of the DCCC ‘Red to Blue’ program.
