[Lisa Blunt Rochester for Senate]( {NAME}, I’m a big believer in role models. I’m fortunate to have many. As a little girl, one of the people I looked up to was my grandmother. She worked at a ball-bearing plant as a steelworker at a time when there were few women in that position, and she went on to become a union leader. Her leadership and fearlessness is something I think about often. As a young mom of two, I was fortunate enough to find another role model in Senator Tom Carper. When I was an intern in his office, I learned the power of using public service to make positive change in the lives of Delawareans. That office instilled in me the importance of working toward a government that works for everyone. [Now, in Congress, I take the values I’ve learned from my role models with me every day.]( It’s amazing to see that today’s Congress has a record number of women. The Democratic Party has our first person of color serving as House Minority Leader. But the reality is, right now, there are no Black women in the Senate. I know how important it is to have role models who look like you, and I know how much representation matters. That’s why I’ll always be an advocate for inclusion. [If I’m elected to the Senate, I’d be the only Black woman currently serving. This would be a huge step in the right direction. If that’s something that resonates with you, I hope that you’ll consider making a donation to my campaign – $25 or whatever you can – to help me continue that fight all the way to the Senate.]( If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately: [CHIP IN $25 »]( [CHIP IN $50 »]( [CHIP IN $75 »]( [CHIP IN $100 »]( [CHIP IN $250 »]( [CHIP IN OTHER »]( Thanks for reading, Lisa [Lisa Blunt Rochester for Senate]( In 2022, Mitch McConnell's personally-aligned Super PAC spent a record-breaking $205 million on Senate Races. And that number is likely to increase in 2024! There are NO Black women in the Senate. Help us make history by sending Lisa Blunt Rochester to the Senate!
