This is a major departure from the House Minority Leader’s more recent tactics of downplaying Republicans’ role in the events on January 6th, and boycotting the January 6th Committee. Elizabeth Warren put it best: “Kevin McCarthy is a liar and a traitor,” she said. Kevin McCarthy must be held accountable for his lies and for his complicity in the aftermath of January 6th.
