This is a commonsense gun safety measure that Congress could enact immediately – and yet, we’ve seen no meaningful action as we witness tragedy after tragedy. Mass shootings are not inevitable – we can prevent a great deal of gun violence by not allowing weapons to end up in the hands of those who intend to do harm. In 2020, guns became the leading cause of death for children and teens. We must do better – our children deserve a safer country to grow up in. We’re fed up with Congress’ inaction.
