We have you covered.     [66145f048a9d4 image] People gathered on the rooftop at Tellus360 to view the solar eclipse Monday afternoon. The eclipse reached 90% totality in the county. For more things to do, [check out our events calendar](. Here's what I'm loving. Actor Emma Stone, who plays Bella Baxter in "Poor Things," won the Best Actress award at the Oscars, March 10, 2024. (AP Photo/Chris Pizzello). 'Poor Things' I'm not a movie re-watcher. If I've seen a movie once, I would typically rather spend the energy watching something new than re-live something I've seen before. That said, I've been thinking about Yorgos Lanthimos' acclaimed, Oscar-winning movie "Poor Things" since I last saw it. On a whim, I recently showed it to my fiancé. For those who haven't seen "Poor Things," it's a science-fiction black comedy film that defies genre boundaries in a fun way. Who would expect anything different from Lanthimos? It follows the story of Bella Baxter (Emma Stone), a peculiar girl who's full grown but seems to have the mind of an infant. You watch her grow and figure out the human experience at a break-neck pace. The film is impeccably written. Though, a disclaimer, as [Emma Stone's grandmother Jean Morgan]( (who lives in Willow Valley Communities) said in an interview with me, it's "not a grandmother's movie." But it is a movie worth seeing twice, which is perhaps the highest praise I can give. Did we spot you? [6611bd9b34f77 image] Our photographers are always out and about. Did we see you at any of these Lancaster County events? - Lancaster Zine Fest [kicked off last weekend]( bringing with it two floors of art and DIY zines. - Students put their brains to work at [Elizabethtown College's Chem-a-Thon]( last Friday. - Those in [Lancaster County were able to see the solar eclipse]( Monday. - Trout season [opened in Lancaster County,]( and locals celebrate at Lititz Run. - The Upper Leacock War Memorial Association [held its last indoor open flea market]( of the season (it'll return in November). - Dottie's Snack Bar in Quarryville [reopened this week after being closed]( for nearly three years.
