I use my arsenal of sesame for both baking and cooking — its nutty flavor means it can skew savory or sweet, depending on my mood. Myo Quinn's [Black Sesame Halva Coffeecake]( (above) is the coffeecake that changed my lukewarm feelings about coffeecake. Tender, moist, and filled with pockets of melted halva (a fudge-like, sesame-based confection), it's an irresistible combination of textures and loaded with nutty flavor thanks to black sesame seeds, chopped pecans, sesame oil, and the aforementioned halva. [Tahini Chocolate Bars]( are the perfect no-bake bar to keep in your back pocket for lazy summer days — and an [offset spatula]( will make spreading the layers even easier. I like to think of these as a dressed-up, nut-free take on the Reese's Peanut Butter Cup thanks to [high-quality chocolate](. I'm a sucker for soft, plushy cinnamon rolls, and [Tahini-Scallion Rolls]( are a dream savory counterpart. The sesame oil in the [bread flour](-based dough fills my kitchen with an incredible aroma once it's in the oven, and the tahini-scallion filling was destined to be paired with a spoonful of chili crisp. Baked into a batch of pull-apart rolls, this [Tahini Brioche]( has a lovely twist on the classic buttery bread. To really take it over the top, finish your roll off with a pat of butter, a drizzle of honey, and a sprinkle of flaky salt.
