We've been working hard to make Ionic the best option for building Progressive Web Apps, and yesterday we announced the beta release of the Ionic PWA Toolkit! 🎉 [Check out the blog to learn more!]( With Google announcing that they will be [ranking sites based on performance]( on mobile devices, now is the time to look into upgrading your mobile web experience to a PWA! Other Open Source Updates - [Meet Capacitor]( a new native project we’ve been working on. Capacitor was announced under the codename “Avocado” on the [last Ionic Show](. The team is hard at work on Capacitor and we hope to be able to share more soon! - We're getting closer and closer to the 1.0 release of [Stencil](. The last feature needed for 1.0, automatic code splitting using dynamic ES imports, will be completed soon. - There's a big Framework release coming soon!
