ISSUE JUNE 12, 2020
[leading]
U.S. stock futures were higher early Friday morning after growing worries of a resurgence in coronavirus cases sent equity prices plunging.
Dow Jones Industrial Average futures traded 355 points higher, implying a Friday opening jump of around 395 points. S&P 500 and Nasdaq-100 futures also pointed to a positive Friday start for the two indexes.
The Dow, S&P 500 and Nasdaq on Thursday all recorded their biggest one-day losses since mid-March, posting losses of at least 5.3%.
Thursdayâs declines put the major averages on pace for their biggest weekly losses since March 20, when they all dropped at least 12%.
Still, Morgan Stanley Investment Managementâs Andrew Slimmon said: âGiven the magnitude of the rally, it would shock me if we had a one day sell-off and thatâs it.â
âThe stocks that are up the most from the lows are still the risk-on, high beta, value, small-cap stocks,â Slimmon, who is a managing director and senior portfolio manager at the firm, told CNBCâs âSquawk Box Asiaâ Friday morning Singapore time. âTheyâre still the big winners and I would suspect that thereâs more pain to come near-term before the market clears out kind of this excessive speculation that weâve seen recently.â

[logic]
The naïve thinking of the left. Â
They canât even debate amongst themselves. Â
So in the latest of âthey eat their ownâ, the VERY liberal author of the Harry Potter series is in the center of the liberal crosshairs.
The film studios behind the Harry Potter franchise, Warner Bros., has weighed in on comments made by author J.K. Rowling that biological sex is a real thing and must be respected for the sake of womenâs rights.
On Saturday, Rowling reaffirmed her stance that oneâs biological sex matters and can never be viewed as a social construct.
She wrote:
If sex isnât real, thereâs no same-sex attraction. If sex isnât real, the lived reality of women globally is erased. I know and love trans people, but erasing the concept of sex removes the ability of many to meaningfully discuss their lives. It isnât hate to speak the truthâ¦
The idea that women like me, whoâve been empathetic to trans people for decades, feeling kinship because theyâre vulnerable in the same way as women â ie, to male violence â âhateâ trans people because they think sex is real and has lived consequences â is a nonsense.
Â
[liberal]
The 54-year-old bestselling author has faced criticism from many of the biggest stars of her films, including Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Eddie Redmayne.
âTrans people are who they say they are and deserve to live their lives without being constantly questioned or told they arenât who they say they are,â Watson wrote earlier this week.
âTransgender women are women,â added Radcliffe in a statement earlier this week. âAny statement to the contrary erases the identity and dignity of transgender people and goes against all advice given by professional health care associations, who have far more expertise on this subject matter than either Jo or I.â
The group think of liberal sheep on full display.

This post is longer than usual but well worth the read.
It lays bare the democrats underhanded methods used to garner the black communityâs vote while simultaneously ignoring and keeping those same communities down.
On Wednesday, President Trump hosted a roundtable discussion on race relations in Dallas. He was accompanied by Dr. Ben Carson and his invited guests included accomplished black leaders and media personalities from around the country.
The list included podcast host and blogger Wayne Dupree, Paster Darrell Scott and Kareem Lanier of Urban Revitalization Coalition, and Raynard Jackson of Raynard Jackson and Associates, LLC.
It was a room full of powerful and influential men but it was the lone female voice in the room that really stood out.
Sonnie Johnson hosts Sirius XMâs Sonnieâs Corner and has been a popular conservative voice for nearly a decade. She is known for her laser focus on how âconservatism equally appliedâ can empower the black community toward prosperity.
Johnson has a flare for hip hop culture and how it is so closely connected to pure capitalism. She often uses the prose of rap artists across the genre to make the point that black Americans are innately attuned to capitalism and freedom and thus, that is the language Republicans should be using to make their case for votes.
In a bold address aimed directly at President Trump, Johnson laid out the current issue with decades of Democrat policy in traditionally black neighborhoods.
She Stated: âThink about the black community that has been under Democratic rule, progressive rule for 60 years. How many rules, how many regulations, how many different forms of taxation are on the books in those areas that are preventing our communities from actually being able to see sustainable growth that we can keep and get ourselves out of this â¦generational poverty?â
Johnson said that criminal justice reform was only one of many important parts of the puzzle, and that harmful Democrat policies have gone unchallenged in black communities for decades.
âAnd they are not going to change until you â we have a Republican Party that is willing to go into these communities and actually offer a choice to these people about how we can do things differently. Because the way it is structured now, the only choice that we get is âleftâ or either âfurther left,â and weâre not getting the opportunity to actually vote on what we look at as âconservatism,â equally applied.
The very basic economic principles that we, on the right, say are significant in our success and seeing the success in our country â those are not being offered at the local level in black communities.
So, basically, weâre asking to grow out of concrete because we donât have the fertile soil in these areas to make everything flourish and bloom the way my generation would like to see it.â
Johnson brought up Trumpâs friendships with popular hip hop artists over the years, saying that she believed they connected on a very capitalistic level and thatâs why Trump has such an affinity for them.
The radio host and writer ended with an inspiring challenge for the President to focus on the common language of capitalism while thinking about how to empower the black community.

[crazy]
Movies have been made about it, now itâs going to happen for real.
This should be very interesting.
The U.S. Air Force will pit a drone against a fighter jet in an aerial combat demonstration next year. It's just one example of how the service is gunning to change the character of warfare, top officials say.
Last week, Lt. Gen. Jack Shanahan, head of the Pentagon's Joint Artificial Intelligence Center, revealed that the Air Force Research Lab is working on an "autonomous system to go up against a human, manned system in some sort of air-to-air" test in July 2021.
"The drones we're exploring fit into the broader concept of, 'It's time to not talk about X-generation aircraft, it's time to talk about next generation air power,'" Dr. Will Roper, assistant secretary of the Air Force for acquisition, technology and logistics, said.
The futuristic drone "can be a sensor for you, it can be a jammer for you, it can be a shooter for you," Roper said. "It's detecting for you ... and all the other things your imagination could dream up, that's what we're dreaming up."
