[Blueprint]( Heard of [ChatGPT]( Iâd be surprised if you havenât, itâs everywhere. But just in case⦠in a nutshell, itâs a new chatbot developed by OpenAI that is designed to interact with human users as naturally as possible. It was built from the ground up to be as natural as possible when talking to people in what is called âa conversational style.â It mimics human speech patterns and language, and it seems to know an awful lot. Itâs definitely worth checking out. But before you marvel at that, take a look at [this video]( which shows the first Tesla Semi truck with a 500-mile range, thatâs just been delivered to PepsiCo. ChatGPT is a new AI-powered chatbot that was launched this week, to what might be accurately described as mixed reviews. Developed by OpenAI, the chatbot can teach users an impressive range of tasks, including setting up a website, but it has also been reported to be slightly problematic. Many people have taken to social media to share their odd (and letâs be honest, some fairly hilarious) interactions with the bot. The overall response is that ChatGPT is incredibly clever, and some are even whispering about it rivaling Google, such is its brilliance. Others, meanwhile, had more serious concerns. It could potentially, for example, teach you how to make a bomb. â TechCrunch managing editor Darrell Etherington said the ChatGPT search inquiries were as basic as if a user âwere slacking with a colleague or interacting with a customer support agent on a website.â â¦Which isnât exactly a glowing review. Theyâve called it the N-NOSE plus Pancreas test (because it uses the noses of tiny worms), and it is being marketed directly to consumers in Japan. Although the company behind it says it wants to reach audiences in the United States by 2023, so stand by. It works by using a species of nematodes known as C. elegans â they are worms that can smell cancer and head toward it. People send in their urine samples and the lab technicians place them in a petri dish with the worms. If there are signs of cancer, the worms sniff it out. Well, UK-based rocket company Pulsar Fusion is, anyway. The company has been awarded funding from the UK Space Agency to help it develop âintegrated nuclear fission-based power systems for electric propulsion.â Ambitiously, Pulsar Fusion has said it wants to build a nuclear fusion rocket prototype by 2025. If it does that, the technology could also be adapted for Earth, which would transform the way we travel through space, but also how we produce energy here on the ground. No, Iâm not asking you to get in touch with your emotions, Iâm talking deep space. Because in a new paper, Dr. Kazunori Takahashi from the Department of Electrical Engineering at Tohoku University, Japan, has shown that he has [significantly advanced the possibility of traveling to deep space]( by improving the performance of an electrodeless plasma thruster. Several space missions have already employed similar tech, such as gridded ion thrusters and Hall thrusters. But one of the new types of thruster under consideration (the MN rf plasma thruster, or helicon thruster) takes an electrodeless approach to generate plasma by using radio frequencies. When an antenna emits radio waves into a cylindrical chamber to create plasma, a magnetic nozzle there controls and accelerates the plasma to create thrust.
