Plus: We’ll live on the Moon within ten years, says NASA. Nov 21, 2022 [Blueprint]( Superman can fly at 770mph… [this engine is faster](. The engine in question has been developed by Chinese researchers. They claim to have created the “world's first” hypersonic detonation wave engine, which can propel a plane at Mach 9, nine times the speed of sound, using inexpensive jet fuel. It has now undergone a number of successful ground tests in Beijing, according to reports. Compared to other hypersonic engines like the scramjet, a detonation engine is able to operate more effectively and with greater power. So all in all, pretty exciting. But before you check out the power on that, take a look at some power of an altogether different kind. [This video]( shows the three startups that may just make nuclear fusion a reality. Good morning. I’m Alice, an Editor at IE. This is The Blueprint. Let’s dive in. [Elon Musk's Starlink satellites got 'invisibility' upgrades. The technology has undergone a series of successful ground tests at Beijing's JF-12 hypersonic shock tunnel, and is powered by kerosene. Detonation engines typically use hydrogen fuel, which is both expensive and explosive. Whereas jet fuel, known as RP-3, which is frequently found in Chinese airports, powers this engine. The engine works through a succession of explosions set off by the detonation wave. These occur in extremely quick succession and release a lot more energy than traditional combustion would with the same amount of fuel, especially at speeds beyond Mach 8. Although the concept of using jet fuel to propel hypersonic flight has been around for years, it isn’t very easy to detonate. → By developing a fleet of planes that can deliver passengers anywhere on the globe in a matter of hours, the Chinese government hopes to discover uses for hypersonic technology in the civil sector. Flesch reading score

Flesch reading score measures how complex a text is. The lower the score, the more difficult the text is to read. The Flesch readability score uses the average length of your sentences (measured by the number of words) and the average number of syllables per word in an equation to calculate the reading ease. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables. Usually, a reading ease score of 60-70 is considered acceptable/normal for web copy.
