Plus: Scientists electrically charge âconstipatedâ clouds to make them rain. Nov 05, 2022 [Blueprint]( This is an amazing story. In a never-before-seen case, [a woman in Spain developed 12 tumors]( in her body, with five of the being malignant. She amazingly survived, and researchers are trying to understand how she did it and fought the cancerous tumors. Each tumor affected a different area of her body as the cancer spread. She inherited the mutations from both of her parents and started developing tumors when she was only a baby. However, thankfully the five malignant tumors began disappearing. Through analyzing this astounding discovery and studying the cells, researchers can possibly find more treatments and cures for cancer in the future. Before reading this incredible story about the unprecedented diagnosis and survival, [take a look at this incredible video]( another extraordinary factor. The [36 year-old-patient has developed twelve tumors]( , at least five of them malignant in her life. Each one has been of a unique kind and has affected a different area of the body. "We still don't understand how this individual could have formed during the embryonic stage, nor could have overcome all these pathologies," says Marcos Malumbres, director of the Cell Division and Cancer Group at the Spanish National Cancer Research Centre (CNIO). Following a comprehensive genomic analysis of the subject, the researchers discovered mutations in the MAD1L1 gene. â"No other case like this has ever been described. Academically we cannot speak of a new syndrome because it is the description of a single case, but biologically it is," says Miguel Urioste, who headed the CNIOâs Familial Cancer Clinical Unit until his retirement in January this year. âThis case is different because of the aggressiveness, the percentage of aberrations it produces, and the extreme susceptibility to a large number of different tumors,â he continued. Do you think that mutations alone in the cells within the human body have the ability to fight cancer? [No, this was a rare case, I think the body needs a form of treatment and/or therapy to fight cancerous cells](
[Yes, the human body can form necessary cells that can fight the malignant tumors over time, through mutations]( [Maybe, but there still needs to be more research on defeating cancerous growths using mutations](
[Definitely not mutations in the body alone, but treatments are being created at such a quick pace that beating cancer is highly likely]( YESTERDAY'S RESULTS Yesterday, we asked if you thought there were other self-organized vegetation phenomena like the Namibia fairy circles.
