Plus: Time-lapse shows 13.8-billion-year history of the universe in 10 minutes. Oct 07, 2022 [Blueprint]( Because superyachts just weren’t quite super enough… Dutch yacht builder U-Boat Worx has [unveiled the design for Nautilus]( a $25 million superyacht that can dive underwater for up to four days at a time. Which is useful if… you’re bored of all that glorious sunshine, you’re feeling a bit seasick and would rather be under the waves than on them, or you’ve just spotted an ex-partner across the bay and the wind isn’t blowing in the right direction for you to make a hasty exit. Genius. But before you start counting your coins to see if you can invest, [check out this video]( of the entire history of the Universe. No, really. And it’s been time-lapsed into a handy 10-minute showing. Good morning. I’m Alice, an editor at IE. This is The Blueprint. Let’s dive in. Last Sunday, Blueprint subscribers had an exclusive insight from Adam Slavney, about his first-of-its-kind air conditioner that uses solid refrigerants, and how and why he and his team want to make barocaloric cooling commercially viable. This week, they’ll hear scientists from around the globe about whether coffee has many more (some fairly life-changing) health benefits than we realize. [Must Read]MUST READ [For $25 million, you can now have a yacht that can dive underwater for up to four days.]( [Yacht that can dive underwater.]( A [new $25 million superyacht, Nautilus]( will help you counter seasickness by diving below the waves, so you can avoid bobbing around on top of them. Dutch yacht builder U-Boat Worx unveiled the designs for Nautilus this week. It's a fully retractable yacht one minute, and a submersible vessel the next. And if you’d rather stay out of the main cabin when it’s submerged, it comes with a completely pressure-resistant electric tender, which stays outside while the yacht takes the dive option. This can be used to transport scuba divers to their intended dive spot, as you do. It’s quite fast, too, with a diesel-electric engine and a top speed of nine knots (10 mph) on the surface. When underwater, it can go up to four knots (4.6 miles an hour). Interestingly, the yacht can stay underwater for up to four days, just in case you fancied staying down there. Its depth rating is over 650 feet (200 m). → Nautilus is a 123-foot (37.5 m) yacht/submarine that offers all the upper deck luxuries of a yacht with all the (slightly-OTT) security of a submarine.
