Plus: 3D printing can now make the strongest titanium alloy ever produced. Sep 20, 2022 [Blueprint]( Together with Air today, gone tomorrow – thanks to Goodyear’s new airless Moon tires. Goodyear has just announced that it’s [producing new lunar vehicle airless tires]( in collaboration with Lockheed Martin and General Motors, and they’ll be ready in 2025. The aim is to operate commercial vehicles on the Moon (driven either by astronauts or operated autonomously), and the project is being developed as part of the Artemis program. To achieve these goals, Goodyear is utilizing its airless tire technology, which is already used on Earth for micro-mobility, autonomous shuttles and passenger vehicles. But before you get all puffed up about that, get supercharged about [this video]( which shows a new invention that aims to massively boost solar energy. Good morning. I’m Alice, an Editor at IE. This is The Blueprint. Let’s get started. Last Sunday, Blueprint subscribers had an exclusive insight from Steve Komadina, the DARPA program manager for ANCILLARY, about the development of the new military vertical-takeoff aircraft from the U.S. Defense Agency. The three companies want to be the first to establish long-term commercial vehicle operations on the Moon. To achieve this, Goodyear is using its airless tire technology, which it already uses for micro-mobility, autonomous shuttles and passenger vehicles, here on Earth. The need for the new tech is because NASA wants future missions to tackle much more rugged terrain, over longer distances, in more extreme temperatures. These new tires need to be able to withstand temperatures as low as -250 degrees Fahrenheit (-150 degrees Celsius) at night and as high as (121 degrees Celsius) 250 degrees Fahrenheit during the day. → Goodyear has plenty of previous form when it comes to lunar tires – it even took part in the Apollo 11 project 53 years ago. Arjen de Jong, fluid dynamics and aerodynamics expert, wanted to create an alternative to typical air purifiers that would be 100 times more effective than the industry standard and would blend seamlessly into the home. Combining de Jong’s vast experience in cleanroom technology with extensive research and testing, the AirTulip Sleep was born. The AirTulip Sleep is a one-of-its-kind, high-powered air purification system that also functions as a beautifully designed headboard. It uses laminar airflow technology and Ultra-Low Particulate Air filters to create a completely pure bubble of air completely shielded from contaminants. The result? A more restful, healthier night’s sleep. This venture brings cleanroom technology into the home for the very first time. The AirTulip Sleep launched on Kickstarter on August 30th and has already surpassed its fundraising goal. Customers can currently [pre-order]( to secure a 40% discount. Flesch reading score

Flesch reading score measures how complex a text is. The lower the score, the more difficult the text is to read. The Flesch readability score uses the average length of your sentences (measured by the number of words) and the average number of syllables per word in an equation to calculate the reading ease. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables. Usually, a reading ease score of 60-70 is considered acceptable/normal for web copy.
