Plus: Cartwheel Galaxy is latest stunning JWST image Aug 03, 2022 [Blueprint]( A solar storm that has erupted from a hole in the Sun's southern atmosphere is expected to [reach the Earth today](. Which all sounds fairly dramatic, if not catastrophic, but it’s apparently all very much par for the course at this stage in the solar cycle. However, that’s not to say these solar storms aren’t creating a bit of havoc — it has been reported that extreme solar activities are causing satellites to fall off their orbits. And in vaguely related news (in as much as the Sun is involved), [check out this video]( of a Tesla owner who’s made his Model 3 even more environmentally friendly with a solar panel upgrade. Ok, the Sun link was admittedly slightly tenuous. Good morning. I’m Alice, an Editor at IE. This is The Blueprint. Let’s get started. Last Sunday, Blueprint subscribers heard scientists reacting to the (ever-developing) brilliance of the James Webb Space Telescope. And in this week's premium edition we speak to the engineers who found a way to boil water faster, about its potentially huge impact. Don't miss out — [subscribe to IE+ today]( to receive exclusive interviews, features, and much more. [Must Read]MUST READ [A solar storm emerging from a hole in the Sun will hit Earth today.]( [Solar storm will hit today.]( A hole in the Sun sounds like something fairly untoward, but [in reality is anything but](. Unlike sun spots or filaments (where magnetic field lines that emerge loop back onto the surface), a solar hole beams outwards in space, which means it can send out plasma at millions of miles an hour. It’s sci-fi novel gold. When released in our direction, plasma and solar debris can take anywhere between 15-18 hours to reach the Earth. The interaction of the heavily magnetized particles in the eruptions with the magnetic field of the planet creates a geomagnetic storm. And that’s what’s happening here. → This one isn’t going to cause us any trouble, though. In fact, it’s going to be fairly spectacular if you happen to be in the right place. Flesch reading score

Flesch reading score measures how complex a text is. The lower the score, the more difficult the text is to read. The Flesch readability score uses the average length of your sentences (measured by the number of words) and the average number of syllables per word in an equation to calculate the reading ease. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables. Usually, a reading ease score of 60-70 is considered acceptable/normal for web copy.
