Plus: A geomagnetic storm hit Earth at a million miles an hour, and nobody saw it coming. Jul 02, 2022 [Blueprint]( Recently in June, we delivered the news that The Royal Caribbean Group requested permission from the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to provide Starlink internet for passengers aboard its cruise ships. And on June 30th, the FCC finally gave SpaceX the green light to provide Starlink Wi-Fi to mobile vehicles such as airplanes, ships, semi-trucks, and RVs. SpaceX can now expand its Starlink service on land, air, and sea. Exciting, isn’t it? Before moving on to the Starlink news though, let's have a look at our video of the day that explains the seemingly impossible "100 Prisoners Riddle" that has the internet baffled. Good morning. I’m Mert, an editor at IE. This is The Blueprint. Let’s get started. Now, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) on Thursday [granted SpaceX the ability to expand]( its service to trains, ships, and other vehicles such as RVs. The FCC argued in its letter of authorization for Starlink dated June 30 that approving the new capability is in the public’s best interest. “We agree with SpaceX and Kepler that the public interest would benefit by granting with conditions their applications,” the FCC wrote. → What does this mean for the common folk? It means that connectivity will now be available at all times. No more shutting your phone off when you get on a plane, go on a cruise, or drive cross country. You can consider that a good or bad thing but the fact remains that the option to be connected will now be a universal one.
