Thousands of families still need your help [UNHCR - The UN Refugee Agency]( [Families are in urgent need of protection, shelter, food and clean water]( Thanks to UNHCR's supporters, we have sent the first airlift with more than 1,300 emergency tents for families displaced by the disaster. Dear {NAME}, I want to let you know that with the support of UNHCR's supporters like you, we are working hard to provide lifesaving assistance to people affected by the recent Indonesian earthquake and tsunami. As you read this, we already delivered 435 emergency tents to Balikpapan, Indonesia, for onward distribution to families displaced by the disaster, and a total of 1,305 tents will be delivered in the next few days. The help of thousands of supporters has made this possible. Further aid, including more emergency tents, sleeping mats, mosquito nets and solar lamps, is planned. Today, we are asking for your help. With houses destroyed and aftershocks continuing, thousands of families are struggling to survive with nowhere to live. [Please donate today and help us ensure we can reach vulnerable families like Mega and her husband below.]( [Please donate today to help families like Mega and her husband]( "I came to my father's house to salvage things to use in our temporary shelter. The only thing I found was a mat. The house I grew up in is destroyed," explains earthquake survivor, Mega (left) and her husband, as they dig through the wreckage of her childhood home in Petobo village, Palu, Sulawesi. The recent earthquake and tsunami struck while disaster operations are still ongoing in Lombok where over 340,000 survivors are staying in camps after an earlier series of earthquakes. Thank you for anything you are able to give. Without your help, we will not be able to help all of these vulnerable families. We are determined that no one will have to face this disaster alone.
