Hey {NAME}, we’ve got bad news. Idaho’s Governor just signed the abhorrent “abortion

[HER Time PAC]( Hey {NAME}, we’ve got bad news. Idaho’s Governor just signed the abhorrent “abortion trafficking” bill we wrote to you about last month. This new law makes it a felony to assist a minor with obtaining abortion care without their parents’ knowledge — meaning pregnant people under 18 years old have absolutely no control over what happens to their own bodies. [You can read more about it below, but first please consider chipping in to our Rapid Response Abortion Fund so we can start fighting back immediately:]( [CHIP IN]( Thanks, HER Time ---------- Forwarded message --------- From: HER Time Abortion Alert Date: Sun, Mar 12, 2023 Subject: A new method of restricting abortion To: <{EMAIL}> {NAME}, the assault on abortion access across the country never ends. Idaho is the latest state to try it, with a new method of restriction they’re calling “abortion trafficking” — disgusting. A new bill that just passed the Idaho state House would make it a felony to help minors obtain abortion care without their parents’ knowledge. Almost all abortions are already banned in Idaho, but this new bill would make it a crime to even assist a minor over the border to Washington or Oregon to obtain the procedure. Those found guilty could spend up to five years in jail. This new bill means that Idaho children and teens, pregnant through rape or incest, would have no legal way to obtain an abortion without parental consent. They would be trapped in Idaho, forced to give birth if their parents say so. They would have absolutely no say over what happens to their own bodies. It’s sickening to think about, but it’s likely to become reality in just a few weeks if anti-choice Idaho Governor Brad Little signs it into law. We are working around the clock to protect reproductive freedom all across the country - but we’re fighting many battles in dozens of different states.
