The 2024 election cycle is heating up quickly and it feels like everyone from President Biden to crazy Republicans like George Santos are announcing their campaigns for re-election. [Josh Harder for Congress]( Hi {NAME}, how have you been? The 2024 election cycle is heating up quickly and it feels like everyone from President Biden to crazy Republicans like George Santos are announcing their campaigns for re-election. So I thought this was a good time to give you a quick update on my race too. (If you can chip in to help us win one of the most competitive seats in the country, I’ll leave a link [here]( My plans: As you may already know, I decided not to run for the open Senate seat here in California because I believe that protecting my House seat is the most important thing I can do to defend our democracy. So I announced my campaign for re-election here in California’s 9th district earlier this year. What’s been happening: Since I announced my campaign, Kevin McCarthy listed me as one of his top 2 targets in the next election and our first GOP opponent jumped into the race. Since then, the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) has put out nearly a dozen attacks against me - the negative campaign has already begun! How we’re planning to fight back: We need to get ahead of the attack ads so my team advised we should launch our first digital ads of the cycle, both in English and Spanish. Our next end-of-month deadline is this Sunday and my goal is to raise $25,000 to put towards the ads. Why I need help from this team: I’m proud to still not accept a dime of corporate PAC money (though many of my colleagues have gone back on the pledge…). I don’t rely on corporate dollars to fund my campaign because I believe in the power of grassroots campaigning. I’m hoping you’ll consider helping us reach our end-of-month goal so we can fund the digital ads and keep this seat blue. Here is a link if you can donate: [( This could be the most important election of our lifetimes and I’m so incredibly thankful to have you on my team. We can do this! - Josh --------------------------------------------------------------- You are receiving this email because Congressman Josh Harder is one of our last lines of defense to protect our democracy against MAGA extremists like Donald Trump, Kevin McCarthy and Marjorie Taylor Greene. [Your early investment and support is critical so we can build the grassroots movement we need to win in 2024. Our race will be competitive and Josh doesn't take a dime of corporate PAC money, so please chip in now to our campaign.]( [DONATE]( If you would like to receive fewer emails, we understand.
