This is a big deal for one very clear reason: Clarence Thomas has written numerous decisions with vast impact on our lives and our democracy - all the while being secretly funded by a GOP billionaire activist. And this all happened because the Supreme Court currently has no real code of ethics. That’s why I support a new important bill: the Supreme Court Ethics Act. This bill will establish new rules of ethics for Supreme Court justices like Clarence Thomas, similar to the rules that are applied to me and every other member of Congress.
