Why? I know Josh is working his butt off to win, but we’re up against a really strong opponent in Ted Howze. Here are four reasons he’s got me worried heading into Super Tuesday: 1. Howze has spent almost $1 million on this race so far. Most of that is his own money. That tells me Josh is probably going to be outspent by Howze, national Republicans, and special interests -- no matter how much money we can raise. 2. Despite his extreme Trump-like positions on immigration and climate change, establishment Republicans like Kevin McCarthy and former Rep. Jeff Denham just endorsed Howze. 3. Did I mention Howze is extreme? Primary voters also tend to be stronger partisans, and more extreme candidates typically do better in primary elections (yes, I’m relying on my Political Science major here -- and I’m a nerd, you got me). 4.
